It’s been 25 years since Sensei Jonathan Hewitt, founder of Life Ki-do, first started teaching martial arts at our Austin Westlake dojo , our Life Ki-do headquarters. Since then he has worked with thousands of kids, teens, and adults including quite a few who started taking classes with him at age 4 and who are now in college or beyond!
In 2015 we opened our Lakeway dojo , our second location, in the heart of Lakeway serving the Lake Travis, Bee Caves, Spicewood, and Steiner communities. Our family-friendly approach is the perfect fit for this growing family-centered part of town.
Our South Austin satellite location is a terrific option if you live further south. Here we offer Life Ki-do Capoeira classes on Wednesday afternoons for kids Kindergarten through 5th Grade.
We have also presented Life Ki-do Martial Arts and Life Education workshops and classes at a great number of public and private schools around the greater Austin area. During the school year, we offer ongoing weekly classes at Athena Montessori as well as WAYA pre-school.
No matter where you take Life Ki-do classes, we guarantee the class will be taught by one of our team of expert instructors specialized in our award-winning Martial Arts curriculum and our unique mindfulness and social-emotional learning system.
